Meet the
Governing Board Candidates
In November, the Madison School District community will vote to
fill three governing board seats. The Citizen's Advisory Committee and the
Madison District Classroom Teachers' Association will host a public forum for
the community to meet the candidates. It will be held on Thursday, September
18th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the District Office, 5601 N. 16th

Preschool Spaces Are Still Available
The Community Education Department still has preschool spaces available for the 2008-2009 school year. For more information on Madison's Early Childhood Education Program, visit the Programs & Services section of our website or call 602-664-7956.
AIMS Scores Have Arrived
As of June 23rd, parents were able to pick up their child's AIMS scores at the front office of the child's school.
Students in Grades 2-8 participated in AIMS testing in April. Students in Grades 4 and 8 also participated in the Science portion of AIMS, however, those scores will not be available until late August.
Test results that were not picked up by August 1 will be sent home with students. If your child is an 8th grader, test results which were not picked up will be mailed home after this date.
Governing Board's Letter to School Redistricting Commission
In August, 2007, the Board sent
a letter
to the School District Redistricting Commission opposing the plan to merge Madison with the Wilson, Balsz and Creighton Elementary Districts and bring in two Phoenix Union high schools, Camelback and North.
