Dear Parents,
It is turkey time again, when we all once again celebrate family, friends, and all that we feel so grateful for each day.
For me, I practice a positive attitude daily, sometimes re-starting myself when I'm not seeing each event in my life as a positive. During the month of November, I spend a little time each day concentrating on what I'm grateful for. I find that this helps those little annoyances to fit themselves into perspective…they are small stuff and as they say…don't sweat the small stuff.'
Things for which I am grateful:
·
Free public education, particularly a free, full-day kindergarten for our 5-year-olds
·
Health care that rivals other nations in its quality
·
Our patrons of Madison School District; the bond and over ride passed!
·
The veterans who helped to maintain our USA as it now is…safe, free, democratic
·
Madison Simis, a place where the children learn and are happy, where parents become an active part of the learning community, and where the gardens are growing
Thank you for being a part of Madison Simis Elementary. We are thankful for you each and every day!
Sincerely,
Dr. Joyce Flowers,
Principal
